Se gestisci un sito e sei arrivato qui dai tuoi log: ShopFrixBot raccoglie prezzi e dati di prodotto per ShopFrix, un servizio gratuito e indipendente di confronto prezzi della spesa. Rispettiamo robots.txt e ci fermiamo se ce lo chiedi. Scrivi a e rispondiamo.

Come ci identifichiamo

Ogni richiesta porta questa stringa User-Agent:

Non ci mascheriamo da browser. Se vedi questa stringa nei tuoi log, siamo noi, e questa pagina spiega perché.

Cosa raccogliamo

Soltanto dati di fatto sui prodotti, quelli che servono a confrontare il costo di una lista della spesa:

nome del prodotto, marca, codice a barre (EAN/GTIN);
quantità e unità di misura;
prezzo, eventuale prezzo promozionale e prezzo per unità di misura;
disponibilità e categoria di appartenenza.

Non raccogliamo, e non conserviamo, i testi descrittivi e promozionali redatti dal negozio, né copie delle pagine. Non copiamo le immagini sui nostri server. Non raccogliamo alcun dato personale.

Con quale frequenza

Almeno 1,5 secondi fra una richiesta e l'altra verso lo stesso host, oppure l'intervallo maggiore che indichi tu con Crawl-delay.
Passaggi programmati di norma fra le 03:00 e le 06:00 (ora italiana), quando il carico sui tuoi sistemi è minimo.
Richieste condizionali (If-None-Match, If-Modified-Since): se rispondi 304, non scarichiamo nulla.
Rispettiamo Retry-After e rallentiamo in presenza di errori 429 o 5xx.

robots.txt

Leggiamo robots.txt prima di ogni passaggio e ci fermiamo se il percorso è vietato. Non è un avviso da ignorare: il crawler termina con un errore e non raccoglie nulla.

Se vuoi escluderci del tutto:

Oppure limitarci a una parte del sito, con le normali regole Allow e Disallow. Onoriamo anche Crawl-delay.

Come chiederci di fermarci

Non serve una diffida. Scrivi a indicando il dominio e ci fermiamo, di norma entro un giorno lavorativo. Se preferisci fornirci un feed o un'API — spesso è più leggero per i tuoi server di qualunque crawler — siamo interessati.

ShopFrix è un servizio indipendente: non è affiliato, approvato, sponsorizzato o collegato ad alcuna delle insegne citate. I nomi e i marchi appartengono ai rispettivi titolari e sono utilizzati esclusivamente per identificarne punti vendita e prodotti.

How we identify ourselves

Every request carries this User-Agent:

We do not disguise ourselves as a browser. If you see this string in your logs it is us, and this page explains why.

What we collect

Only product facts — what is needed to compare the cost of a shopping list:

product name, brand, barcode (EAN/GTIN);
quantity and unit of measure;
price, promotional price where shown, and unit price;
availability and category.

We do not collect or retain your written product descriptions or marketing copy, and we keep no copies of your pages. We do not copy images onto our servers. We collect no personal data.

How often

At least 1.5 seconds between requests to the same host, or whatever longer interval your Crawl-delay states.
Scheduled passes normally between 03:00 and 06:00 Italian time, when load on your systems is lowest.
Conditional requests (If-None-Match, If-Modified-Since): answer 304 and we download nothing.
We honour Retry-After and back off on 429 and 5xx.

robots.txt

We read robots.txt before every pass and stop if the path is disallowed. This is not a warning we log and ignore: the crawler exits with an error and collects nothing.

To exclude us entirely:

Or restrict us to part of the site with ordinary Allow and Disallow rules. We honour Crawl-delay too.

Asking us to stop

No legal letter needed. Write to naming the domain and we stop, normally within one working day. If you would rather give us a feed or an API — usually lighter on your servers than any crawler — we are interested.

ShopFrix is an independent service: not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any retailer named. Names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their shops and products.
